This policy describes the data used by the WikiDash game hosted at huhulu.xyz.

Game and browser data

Solo results, your language preference, and a random daily session key are kept in your browser’s local storage. Room sessions use the tab’s session storage. Online rooms process your racer name, membership status, article path, clicks, and time. You do not need an account or your real name; you can choose a nickname.

People in your room can see your racer name, clicks, and results. The public daily standings include your racer name, time, clicks, and completed route. Session keys are not exposed in public standings.

Retention

Online rooms expire 24 hours after creation. Daily attempts expire at the next daily release. Daily standings are retained for up to seven days. Local scores and language preferences stay in your browser until you remove them. Infrastructure providers may keep request logs for security and service operation under their own policies.

Advertising and cookies

WikiDash uses Google AdSense. Google and other advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Collection, sharing, and use of data for personalized advertising depend on your region and consent choices.

When Google’s consent message is displayed, you can use it to choose your preferences. The privacy and cookie settings link below reopens that message when Google’s consent tool is available. You can also manage advertising personalization in Google My Ad Center or block cookies through your browser.

Service providers

Vercel hosts the application, Cloudflare provides domain and DNS services, and Upstash Redis stores online room and daily standings data. Requests may include your IP address, browser information, and technical error details. Article text is fetched from Wikimedia through our server; loading images may connect your browser directly to Wikimedia servers.
